New Delhi, June 11: Bajaj Auto, the Indian two-wheeler manufacturer, has decided to postpone the launch of its much-anticipated Bajaj CNG bike to July 17, which was earlier fixed for June 18. The Bajaj CNG bike will likely to be named as “Bajaj Fighter” and it is the world’s first motorcycle to run on CNG. The new initiative by Bajaj Auto might be intended to appeal to budget-conscious customers looking for more affordable and environmentally friendly transportation options. The delay in the launch of the Bajaj CNG bike may be due to the need to ensure it meets all safety and performance standards.

As per a report of Autocar India, the launch date of the Bajaj CNG bike is pushed back and this update was confirmed by Rakesh Sharma, Executive Director of Bajaj Auto. He stated that the new launch date is set for July 17 and emphasised that the Bajaj CNG Bike is designed with the economy-conscious buyer in mind. According to a report of Times of India, Bajaj has filed a trademark application for the name “Fighter,” raising speculation that the world’s first CNG motorcycle might be known by this name. In some cases, the filing of a trademark does not necessarily mean that the name will be used immediately, as manufacturers often reserve names for future products by filing a trademark. Additionally, it may come equipped with halogen turn indicators, multi-spoke alloy wheels and a combination of disc and drum brakes for enhanced safety.
