Mahindra XUV700 SUV Surpasses 2 Lakh Unit Production Mark; Celebrates With Two New Colours

Mumbai, June 29: Homegrown automaker Mahindra & Mahindra has announced that the XUV700 SUV has surpassed the 2 lakh unit production mark in just 33 months since its India launch. Celebrating this milestone, the SUV maker has expanded XUV700’s colour range to 9 options by introducing two new shades – Deep Forest and Burnt Sienna. Mahindra could offer the former on other SUVs, but the latter will be seen exclusively on the XUV700. It’s worth noting that the SUV achieved a 1 lakh production milestone in just 21 months and took another 12 months to hit a one lakh production feat.

Mahindra XUV700 SUV is available for the Indian market in seven variants – MX, AX3, AX5, AX5 Select, AX7, AX7 Luxury, and AX7 Luxury Blaze Edition. The price for the SUV starts from Rs. 14 lakh for the base MX variant and goes up to Rs. 27 lakh for the top-end AX7 Luxury Blaze (all prices ex-showroom). Maruti Suzuki Swift Sales in India Crosses Over 3 Million Mark.

The SUV comes with a choice of petrol and diesel engines. The former is a 2.0-litre turbo petrol unit making 197bhp of power and 380Nm of torque, while the latter is a 2.2-litre oil burner producing 182bhp and 450Nm of power figures. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter gearbox. The XUV700 debuted with segment-first features like Level 2 ADAS, Alexa built-in functionality, and a dual 10-24 inch HD touchscreen display. The 2024 Mahindra XUV700 was launched in the country in January this year with a Napoli Black colour and new features like ventilated front seats, memory ORVMs and more. Moreover, the company also introduced the AX5 Select, MX 7-seater, and Blaze edition of the SUV, which diversified the line-up for customers. Mahindra also further expanded its production capacity to ensure faster deliveries to customers.
