Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University in association with High Court Bar Association, Nagpur is organising National Seminar on Nascant Development of Criminal Law Reforms & Its Intersection with Technology on March 16.

Call for Papers

  • Adequacy or inadequacy of Indian Penal Code, Criminal Procedure Code, Indian Evidence Act      
  • Assessing the BNS (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita), BNSS (Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita) and BS  (Bharatiya Sakshya Act)
  • Gender Neutrality in the New Criminal Laws 
  • The Doctrine of fruits of a poisonous tree     
  • Concept of Reverse Burden of Proof
  • Artificial Intelligence and Criminal Identification
  • Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Crimes
  • Crimes in Metaverse

Any other topic related to the theme of the seminar.

Eligibility

Academicians, Practitioners, Research Scholars, Lawyers, Law Enforcement Personnel and law students (Undergraduate and Post Graduate).

Fee

  • Students – Rs. 150 (per participant)
  • Professionals – Rs. 500 (per participant)

Submission Guidelines

The guidelines for the submission of the paper are as follows:

  • The research papers should pertain to any of the sub-themes of the conference.
  • Participants shall be required to submit an abstract of around 350 words.
  • The abstract shall also contain, the name of the author/authors, email ID of the author’s contact number and designation.
  • Acceptance of abstracts shall be communicated separately. The payment link shall be shared separately if the abstract is selected.
  • Full paper shall not exceed 5000 words. It shall be typed in Times New Roman, Font Size 12 on A4 size paper on any of the sub-themes of the conference with 1” margin on all sides with 1.5 line spacing using MS Word.
  • Citation shall be strictly in accordance with Bluebook format.
  • The Department may publish selected papers. Selection of papers for publication shall be the exclusive discretion of the Editorial Board.
  • The submitted papers will be subjected to Plagiarism Check.
  • Co-authorship is permitted up to 2 authors.
  • During submission of Abstract, the email subject should contain “National Seminar – Abstract Submission”
  • During submission of the final paper, the email subject should contain “National Seminar – Final Paper Submission.”

  • Intimation of selection of abstract – Within 7 days from submission
  • Last date for Registration and Payment – 1st March 2024
  • Last date for Submission of Paper – 5th March 2024
  • Date of Seminar – 16th March 2024
